Now I use caps and floors as terms in my agreements all the time. 

When we spoke to an investor we said we’ll pay you 10% of profit capped at $100k. 

That way they like the 10% BUT we don’t have to keep paying them forever. 

I felt like I was on the short end of the stick when we started.
